Now let’s see how it works: every time you jump the fiberglass spring is pressed by the force of your weight causing the back foil to change its angle. The angled back foil is pushed downward to generate the propulsion from the same impact 

you did with your jump. The skimmer locks the front foil to a constant height in the water thus allowing it to plane on the water surface.
Well, you have to consider that if you stop jumping you will sink. To remain above the water surface just continue leaping on the platform. Also you must not be below 30 kg heavy and above 114-5 kg.
